Keeping your family safe is important, right? Have you considered that while your garage door is handy, it is also one of the heaviest objects around your home. As June is Garage Door Safety Month, our team at Overhead Door Company of Western Kentucky™ is here to share a few reminders to practice safety.

Children are at the highest risk, and garage doors are not meant for play. While the sensors that detect objects are a handy function of garage doors on the market today, they are only safe if they are in working order. Plus, you can perform some regular checks on this function as well as others.

Maintenance

Check out our yearly maintenance checklist. A few checks every year can save you big time. Most you can do yourself, but if any springs or brackets require attention, leave that to our professionals.
